Healthy Eating is a SNAP! We've partnered with the San Mateo County Fair to show how easy it can be to eat healthy. Check out the video and then head on over to the fair website to see what's happening at the fair: http://www.sanmateocountyfair.com/
Meet you at the fair June 7th-15th, 2014!
The San Mateo County Fair is excited for the opportunity to incorporate nutrition education in the San Mateo County. The Fair's mission has always been about educating the community whether it was through the contests, exhibits, or programs that have developed over our 80 years. In fact, the original purpose of a fair was to provide education on the latest innovations in agriculture. We believe that education can be entertaining and interactive and the San Mateo County Fair staff aims to prove that by allowing the learning to come from different mediums; a county fair environment. We encourage everyone to live healthier lives. It all starts with an understanding and a choice. Thank you to all the organizations involved: USDA, CDFA, CalFresh, and SNAP-Ed. We look forward to creating and learning together!

SNAP provides nutrition assistance to people with low income. It can help you buy nutritious foods for a better diet. SNAP-Ed's aim is to improve the likelihood that persons eligible for SNAP will make healthy food choices. To find out more, call the hotline at 1-877-847-FOOD.
